Multiple Resonance Scattering
نویسنده
چکیده
The previously proposed Multiple Resonance Scattering (MRS) theory is elaborated. In addition of predicting a radiationless fusion of two deuterium nuclei into a He 4 -nucleus in its ground state, the MRS theory is also shown to be in agreement with the experimental results concerning the transmutations of heavier nuclei. A form for the nuclear active environment is suggested and new experiments are proposed to verify the MRS theory.

A New Guideline for the Allocation of Multipoles in the Multiple Multipole Method for Two Dimensional Scattering from Dielectrics
A new guideline for proper allocation of multipoles in the multiple multipole method (MMP) is proposed. In an ‘a posteriori’ approach, subspace fitting (SSF) is used to find the best location of multipole expansions for the two dimensional dielectric scattering problem. It is shown that the best location of multipole expansions (regarding their global approximating power) coincides with the med...
متن کاملScattering by an array of perforated cylinders with a porous core.
In this work multiple scattering by an array of perforated cylindrical shells with a porous core has been investigated. A semi-analytical model to predict scattering from such cylindrical units is presented in the context of the multiple scattering theory (MST), and validated against laboratory experiments. The suggested semi-analytical multiple scattering model uses an impedance expression to ...

This paper considers acoustic scattering by and propagation through line and plane arrays of air-bubbles in liquid media. The self-consistent method is used to derive the effective scattering function of a single bubble embedded in the arrays, incorporating all multiple scattering processes. For the line case, an exact result is derived. In the plane array situation, only an approximate analyti...
متن کاملMultiple scattering dynamics of fermions at an isolated p-wave resonance
The wavefunction for indistinguishable fermions is anti-symmetric under particle exchange, which directly leads to the Pauli exclusion principle, and hence underlies the structure of atoms and the properties of almost all materials. In the dynamics of collisions between two indistinguishable fermions, this requirement strictly prohibits scattering into 90° angles. Here we experimentally investi...
متن کاملTunable Plasmonic Nanoparticles Based on Prolate Spheroids
Metallic nanoparticles can exhibit very large optical extinction in the visible spectrum due to localized surface plasmon resonance. Spherical plasmonic nanoparticles have been the subject of numerous studies in recent years due to the fact that the scattering response of spheres can be analytically evaluated using Mie theory. However a major disadvantage of metallic spherical nanoparticles is ...
